This is a very decent replica of The Waterboy’s jersey from the film, right down to the ‘Bourbon Bowl’ insignia. Is it NFL or NCAA jersey quality? No, it isn’t. But then you’re paying far less and getting a great piece of fun movie nostalgia that will last a good long while.

The only thing I would say is that I was hesitant to get a 3x because I thought it would be way too big. It was the only size left. I don’t believe that it was a 3x American because my husband wares extra large and it fit him fine.

Thanks to the reviews, I ordered the perfect size and it fits like the photo. I wear a medium to large and ordered an XXL. The fit is loose/baggy but still snug on the lower arms to give it the desired fit. I really like the rose color. The fabric is quite thin so I may layer over a low-cut tank as the weather gets colder.

I was surprised at the quality of this jersey although the insistence upon hand washing the item has made me wonder about long-term durability. That being said the quality is astonishing for a $20 jersey – sewn numbers, patches, and the name on the back are usually only present on the most expensive jerseys.
